Welcome to Horicon Middle School!
Our mission--Educate. Engage. Empower. Every Day--guides all of our work with students, families, and our community. We are committed to helping every young person in our care to develop the academic, personal, and interpersonal skills that they will need to become successful partners, parents, workers, bosses, and community members when they graduate.
Strong schools require strong partnerships. The most important partnerships are between the school and families. Open, honest, and respectful communication between home and school is critical. If you have a question, concern, or idea, please reach out. We believe that when families and school staff communicate openly and work together, we are better able to support each student's needs and celebrate their successes.
Another important part of student success is regular attendance. Students learn best when they are present, engaged, and participating consistently. Every day matters. Regular attendance helps students stay connected to their teachers and classmates, keep up with their learning, and take full advantage of the opportunities our school provides. We appreciate families making school attendance a priority and partnering with us when challenges arise.
