Testing Information

PSAT:  The PSAT helps prepare juniors for the SAT and can qualify them for the National Merit Scholarships.  The PSAT is given at HHS during October every year.   
ACT: The ACT test is required for admission to many colleges. College-bound students are advised to take the ACT during February, April or June of their junior year.  Students should register on-line. 
SAT:  Some colleges prefer The SAT test. Students should check to see if schools they are interested in require it. If required, those college-bound students should register for the SAT during the spring of their junior year.  
Accuplacer:  This test is required for students planning to attend Moraine Park Technical College and may be accepted by other technical colleges.   Accuplacer Sample Questions
ASVAB:  This test is required for military service.  Scores are valid for two years. 
Advanced Placement Tests:  AP tests can be taken by students enrolled in AP classes and are given in the spring each year. Students who score at a specified level are eligible to receive college credit.  Students may request to take AP exams in any area, regardless of whether they have taken that AP course.
